Nurse Passes

Learn how to efficiently manage passes to your health clinic.

Updated over a week ago

By using a combination of pass restrictions and scheduled passes, you can quickly and efficiently transform how you handle your nurse passes.

‍‍

Benefits

  • Saves the nurse time by scheduling daily medication passes to start automatically, and students even get a notification reminding them of their daily medication time.

  • Allows students requesting a pass to the nurse to make a discrete note to document their need to visit,

  • Allows for effective management of the volume of students entering the nurse's office at a given time by giving the nurse the ability to decline, or reschedule certain requests that are not urgent.

How to set up and use

By default we have given you a Nurse's office. If you no longer have these rooms, you can add them with the add button in the top corner of the rooms dashboard.

  1. Add your nurse(s) as teachers in the nurse's office and hit save.

  2. Set room restrictions for "Now" and "Future" to "All Teachers in Room" "This Room"

  3. Have students request passes to the nurse, as needed, from their 1:1 device. Be sure to have students make a note to document why they need to visit.

  4. Ensure the nurse knows how to accept pass requests.

  5. For each of their students with daily or weekly medications, have them create a recurring pass at a scheduled time.

    1. You can create recurring passes for different times throughout the week, so students aren't always missing the same period throughout the day!
