Implementing SmartPass often gives schools access to data about student movement that they’ve never had before, but that can also become very daunting as well. Using the pass searching and filtering tools can help you narrow down the information you want, or need, to use. This is a great way to figure out who was in the hall or a particular restroom at a certain time.

Viewing Ended Passes
Select the Explore option in the right menu bar
Click on Passes to load the ended passes for the campus.
From the top menu, use the drop-down menus (filters) to search for specific students, origin rooms, destination rooms, and dates. Note: the default view for dates is the current school year.
💡 Tip: When looking at the display of all passes, you’ll notice that you can use the table icon (top right of the table) to enable/disable specific columns as well as reorder them based on how you want to view the data.
Filtering Passes
As you filter and sort through your ended passes, you’ll be able to narrow down to information like who was in a specific bathroom today at 10am, where certain students are frequenting, and more.
Here’s an example of how an administrator can use the filters to narrow down which students have been going to the campus’ Tech Office in the past 30 days:
Exporting Data
In the top bar above the passes table, you can also use the export button to download all the displayed pass data to a CSV file for you to work with in more detail.
You’ll want to make sure you’re in your personal admin account when you export your pass data though so it can be emailed to you.
