Rooms are used to create individual student locations, whereas folders are used to group these student locations by function. Once you have created all the necessary folders for your campus setup, you can start to organize yours rooms by moving them into the appropriate folders.
Moving Rooms into Folders
Rooms can be moved into folders in several different ways:
By Folder

Folder Row
Click on the 3 dot menu on the far right side of the folder's row.
Inside Empty Folder
If a folder is empty, you can click on the folder name directly from the table and use the Add a Room button in the center of the folder.
Whether you use the 3 dot menu on a folder's row or or the Add a Room button within an empty folder, you are provided the same 3 options:
+Add New Room
Opens up the room creation box and once created, the room is automatically filed in the folder.
+Add Existing Rooms
Opens up the option to select from existing rooms.
Import Rooms
Opens up the option to import rooms directly into the folder.

Rooms can also be moved by using the bulk editing feature.
First select the rooms you want moved using the check boxes on the left side of each room.
When the bulk editing bar at the bottom appears, click the Move rooms button.
Choose one of the three options provided:
Move Rooms to Another Folder
Choose amongst a list of existing folders.
Move Rooms Out of Folder
Moves room to Rooms table as standalone room.
New Folder with Selected Rooms
Opens up the folder creation box and once created, the rooms are automatically filed in the new folder.
By Importing

For faster room generation, you can utilize the Import Rooms feature. This allows you to create multiple rooms at once using a spreadsheet.
To do so, create a list consisting of the Room Name, Room Number, and Teachers in Room from an Excel spreadsheet or CSV. If you need a template to work off of, you can download our template from the Import Rooms to Classrooms pop-up by clicking the Download Template button.
You can access the import rooms option in one of two ways:
Folder Row

Follow the provided instructions. This is where you can also access the rooms template.
After creating and uploading the document, all of the rooms will be parsed and added to the selected folder. If there are any problems with the file, the form will indicate which sections of the file did not load properly.
FAQ
When adding an existing room to a folder will all the settings stay the same?
The Show as Origin Room and Counts Towards Pass Limits toggles will now reflect the folder's setting. The icon and color of the room will also reflect the ones set for the folder. All other settings will remain in place.
I have added a room to a folder, but want to remove it. How can I do that?
You can move rooms from one folder to another by using the 3 dot menu on the far right of the row (room or folder) or by using the bulk editing feature.
