What is a Request?
Abbreviated as Request, a Pass Request is a pass that is pending digital approval/acceptance.
Sent Pass Requests
Students send Pass Requests to Teachers when they don't have the permission to create a Pass for a particular Room themselves. In pass creation, Rooms that have a lock icon on it denote that the Student will need digital permission, instead of being able to create a Pass for themselves.
If the Request that the Student sent was for now, it will appear in place of their Active Pass area and either be declined or become active once approved. If the Request was for the Future, it will go to the Sent section of the Requests area. If a Teacher accepts it there, it will move to the Scheduled Pass section.
Received Pass Requests
Students receive Pass Requests from Teachers when a Teacher wants to send a Pass to the student for the future, but is unsure where the Student will be coming from and if the Student is able to come at the specified time.
Once a Student receives the Request, they can view the Request details and Accept or Decline the received Request.
If a Student accepts a Pass Request by selecting their Room of origin, the Pass Request moves to the Scheduled Passes section.
If a Student declines a Pass Request, it disappears and Teachers see that the Student declined a Pass Request. Students can decline a Pass Request by clicking the three dots and then clicking "Decline Pass Request" from the drop-down.
Missed Pass Requests
If a Student missed the scheduled time for the Requests, they are able to Decline the Request or resend the Request, but with a new Date/Time.
